In chapter one, Ezekiel describes his breathtaking vision of the glory of the LORD. Within an awesome windstorm he saw burning metal, four living creatures with various features, and sparkling wheels that moved in conjunction with the creatures. Over the creatures' heads was an shining expanse. Higher still was a brilliant throne with a glorious man-like figure. This vision was accompanied by sounds - the roaring of the creatures' wings and the voice of the glorious figure.
